The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 Β£ per year.
12 months contract, 8am to 4pm or 9am - 5pm (7.5 hours per day, 37.5 per week).
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Supply Chain Leader to oversee daily inventory management, ensuring stock levels, stock-turn targets, and days-on-hand are optimised to effectively support customer needs.
- Lead inventory reporting for the site and wider business reporting to BU Leadership.
- Improve inventory accuracy across WIP and shop floor stock by managing weekly cycle counts, ensuring targets are achieved and variances are thoroughly investigated.
- Manage the company-wide material obsolescence and disposal process.
- Partner with the Finance Manager and Supply Chain Leader to develop realistic demand and supply plans through proactive engagement in commercial processes.
- Independently drive projects aimed at reducing and optimising inventory to meet monthly targets.
- Lead site-wide stock takes, preparing and distributing count sheets to the team, coordinating resources, and ensuring all counts are completed accurately within set deadlines.
- Collaborate with global inventory teams to share best practices and optimise inventory across sites.
- Conduct root cause analysis of issues and implement sustainable process improvements.
- Enhance and automate inventory reporting processes where possible.
Essential Skills:
- Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes, including raw materials, production, and logistics.
- Analytical mindset with excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ideally a minimum of 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment, with exposure to Lean manufacturing principles.
- Familiarity with manufacturing planning, cycle counting, and obsolescence processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience with SAP is an advantage.
