Location: Stone, UK - Hybrid (1 to 2 days remote work per week)

Duration: 11 months+ Extendable Contract

Job Description:

  • Attending interface commercial meetings (minimum at the moment 2 per week)
  • Keeping a log of the early warnings / major RFIs and logging actual Cost adjustment claims
  • Chasing Client Engineering teams and client design teams for information
  • Working with Lead Contract Manager on options to recover common pot claims from the Employer
  • Working with the interface manager & Client Engineering to manage Interface Milestones and report on any slippage (both sides)
  • Evaluation of quantum claims / rates and prices analysis from historical information and BCIS / benchmarking
  • Review programme impacts for prelims entitlement / L&E
  • Attend monthly site Wrenhall and Peterhead for face-to-face meetings with client teams as the project proceeds.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant third level degree qualification (Bachelor’s degree) in commercial related field i.e. BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
  • Ideally be chartered / working towards chartership.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 (five) years of work experience in heavy / industrial business and preferably in power sector.
  • Minimum of 3 (three) years in subcontract management experience, this includes commercial, contractual and construction awareness.
  • Technical background is advantageous.
  • Experience of successfully coordinating and managing multiple subcontracts / tasks effectively.
  • Proficient with standard form and bespoke contracts.
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365 applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint and Outlook.
