Role: Senior DevOps Engineer
Contract Length: 12 Months
Location: Hybrid - The role will be hybrid in Birmingham, Blackpool, Leeds, Manchester, Sheffield (60% weekly in one of these offices).

- Experience of creating technical documentation - expert level
- Lead and support the delivery of AWS environments and code deployments produced by the Benefits Supporting Services (BSS) team.
- Create a DevOps culture and implement automation best practices, including coaching, mentoring, and supporting the team.
- Build, improve, and deploy reliable services, including production of documentation.
- Spot instances where the team is not using best practices and advise on improvements.
- Lead on large pieces of work and share knowledge.
- Environment build and support using automation and best practice.
- Support the development and test capability within AWS environments.
- Provide coordination support for HSE Governance activities, including preparation of performance reports and maintenance of HSE required records.
- Assist the HSE Governance & Process team with data analysis and trend identification to support continuous improvement actions.
- Produce trend reports from improvement sources and coordinate HSE communications & improvement projects.
- Provide insight and improvement opportunities for project tracking management and oversight.
- Assist in the development, improvement, and maintenance of HSE Risk Registers and associated performance data.
- Support field verification of risk controls and track completion of risk assessment actions.
- Manage site HSE SharePoint and document management systems, ensuring document control processes are followed.
- Assist in progress of annual priorities and improvement targets through support to local HSE leaders.
- Any other duties as required for Governance Team.
Additional Requirements:
- Navigating and effectively working across diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Engaging with stakeholders with varying levels of HSE awareness and maturity.
- Acting as a coach and enabler, supporting teams in building sustainable HSE behaviours.
- Managing travel requirements while maintaining consistent HSE standards across multiple locations.
- Risk & Control management tracking focus.
- Process improvement oriented with great attention to detail.
- Well versed with SharePoint and Excel; Power BI is nice to have.
- Flexibility in working hours (8:00 - 4:00 / 9:00 - 5:00).
- Ideal candidate should hold NEBOSH certification coupled with 2-3 years of experience.
