Location: Remote with occasional travel to Aberdeen

Contract duration: 12 months

Requirement:

  • Requires 3-5 years of experience as an HSE advisor
  • NEBOSH certificate or equivalent
  • ISO45001 auditor certified preferred
  • Degree in HSE or a related field

Responsibilities:

  • Provide coordination support for HSE Governance activities, including coordination of HSE programs, preparation of performance reports, and maintenance of HSE required records.
  • Assist the HSE Governance & Process team and operations with data analysis and trend identification to support continuous improvement actions.
  • Producing trend reports from improvement sources (audit, significant risk areas, events, near misses and LFNW) and coordinating HSE communications & improvement projects.
  • Providing insight and improvement opportunities for improvement project tracking management and oversight.
  • Assist in the development, improvement and maintenance of HSE Risk Registers and associated performance data to ensure accuracy, integrity, and visibility.
  • Assist in improvement and maintenance of HSE risk assessments as required.
  • Support field verification of risk controls.
  • Track completion of risk assessment actions & support preparation for risk reviews and HSE assurance activities.
  • Manage site HSE SharePoint and document management systems, ensuring support document control processes, including version control, updates, and archiving of HSE procedures and records.
  • Assistance in progress of annual priorities and improvement targets through support to local HSE leaders within the business.
  • Any other duties as required for Governance Team.

  • Engaging with stakeholders who have varying levels of HSE awareness and maturity, and tailoring interventions to suit different needs.
  • Acting as a coach and enabler, supporting teams in building sustainable HSE behaviours rather than enforcing compliance alone.
  • Taking on a strong educational role, with HSE seen as a continuous teaching and learning function across the organization.
  • Managing travel requirements while maintaining consistent HSE standards and engagement across multiple locations.

  • Should have Risk & Control management tracking focus
  • Will be working through a lot of systems
  • Should be process improvement oriented
  • Should have great attention to detail skills.
  • Will be involved in some coordination activities
  • Should possess assurance and follow-up discipline
  • Should be well versed with SharePoint and Excel. Power BI is nice to have.
  • Manager is based in Aberdeen and is also working remotely.
  • Candidate can be based anywhere in the UK.
  • Travelling would be required for team meetups, can be done over Teams but preference would be onsite presence.
  • Flexibility can be there (8:00 - 4:00 / 9:00 - 5:00)
  • Ideal candidate should hold NEBOSH certification coupled with 2-3 years of experience.
