Main purpose of this role: Contribute to the success of a variety of projects ranging in value from £250k to £3m. You’ll need to have strong analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail to enhance our project management capabilities. You will play a key role in analysing budgets, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring the successful execution of a variety of projects.

Core responsibilities:

  • Review construction plans, providing detailed quantity and cost requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders including site managers, clients, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Provide senior level support to site-based contract staff and oversee the validation, valuation, and forecasting process on Facilities Management contracts.
  • Estimating and WIP support on SOR based Facilities Management contracts.
  • Complete labour loading and pricing schedules for Facilities Management tender returns.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, analysis, contracts, budgets, risk assessments, and other essential documents.
  • Document changes in design promptly, updating budgets to reflect modifications accurately.
  • Establish and foster professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders to facilitate effective project execution.
  • Travel to various sites as required to oversee project progress and address on-site challenges.

Skills and experience needed:

  • A sound knowledge and experience of project cost and commercial management in projects up to £3m in value.
  • Excellent attention to detail especially when working with costs and measurements.
  • An ability to organise, plan and prioritise to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain a network of professional relationships.
  • Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel as necessary.

You will ideally have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
  • Construction estimating experience within the UK construction or facilities management industry.
