What will be my core responsibilities?

The role of Account Manager is a vital link between the Client, Engineers and Contract Support.

This role involves managing the teams, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, optimising operational performance, and maintaining and evolving a strong client relationship.

The position requires strong leadership and technical expertise to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.

You will be largely Bristol based with a requirement to travel along the M4 Corridor and down to Basingstoke on a regular basis.

  • Managing a team of 20 Engineers, 2 Supervisors and a small team of Contract Support Administrators for a contract value of around £2.5m.
  • Support and develop the Supervisors helping them to recruit, train, and build capability in the Engineers to enhance skill levels and performance.
  • Drive engineering productivity and efficiencies to enhance the quality and speed of service to the client.
  • Monitor, train and support Engineers to ensure adherence to KPI's and SLA's in line with the contract and client expectations
  • Conduct performance reviews to set objectives and provide training and development opportunities.
  • Carry out regular audits of sites to ensure application of service and quality standards and adherence to Health & Safety protocols
  • Review the monthly calendar for Floor Fitting to agree the monthly bonus for the team.
  • Review and cross check timesheets against work orders and approve for billing.
  • Manage stock in both the Vans and the Stock Facility ensuring safety stock levels and regularly review supplier quality and service.
  • Manage and maintain the activity tracker to plan materials procurement
  • Review estimates and quotes from Engineers and Subcontractors and ensure they meet commercial objectives.
  • Quote and manage small build projects ranging in value from £70k – 500k
  • Carry out risk assessments for new sites in line with client and Lancer Scott procedures.
  • Act as the key point of contact for the Regional Maintenance Managers and Head of Passive Fire, managing escalations and agreeing actions to resolve issues.
  • Provide weekly reports detailing performance against KPI's and highlighting areas of concern and common issues.
  • Continually seek out opportunities for increased scope of works and prepare proposals for managing those work streams.
  • Point of contact for issues that occur on the on call rota, typically once every
