Core Responsibilities:
- The Regional Account Director is responsible for the strategic leadership, operational performance, and commercial success of multiple client contracts within Lancer Scott FM.
- This role ensures contracts are delivered in line with client expectations, statutory compliance, and internal governance, while driving service excellence, financial performance, and sustainable growth.
- You will act as the senior escalation point, setting the tone across your region, embedding Lancer Scott ways of working, and ensuring clear ownership, accountability, and delivery through structured processes.
- Provide strong, visible leadership across all contracts, setting clear expectations aligned to Lancer Scott values.
- Drive a culture of ownership, accountability, and right-first-time delivery, eliminating inefficiencies such as rework and “WO ping pong.”
- Lead, coach, and develop Account Managers and operational teams to consistently deliver high performance.
- Act as the senior escalation point for operational, commercial, and client issues.
- Ensure all contracts meet and exceed SLA, KPI, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Embed and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all service lines.
- Maintain strict control of Work Order lifecycle management; Engineer productivity and utilisation, Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) compliance and Reactive and remedial delivery.
- Drive improvements in service delivery consistency, quality, and response times.
- Own full P&L accountability across your regional portfolio.
- Deliver against financial targets including Revenue and profit margins, Reduction of WIP and aged debt, Cost control and operational efficiencies.
- Identify and implement opportunities for Contract growth, Additional services and Project work and lifecycle delivery.
- Ensure robust financial governance, including accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Build and maintain strong, credible relationships with key client stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement across Operational processes, System usage (CAFM, reporting tools) and Service delivery models.
- Support the Operations Director to deliver strategic initiatives across the full Lancer Scott portfolio.
- Ensure consistent adoption of best practice workflows from job creation through to billing.
- Support new business opportunities through Solution development, Client presentations and Mobilisation planning.
Skills and Experience:
- Engineering qualification (HND or above preferred).
- Proven experience in a senior FM role (Account Director / equivalent).
- Experience managing multi-site, multi-contract portfolios in a fast growth SME environment.
- Proven ability to deliver financial and operational performance.
- Strong leadership and influencing skills.
- Commercially aware with strong financial acumen.
- Excellent communication, able to influence and engage across a broad spectrum of stakeholders.
- Analytical and data-driven decision making.
