What will my core responsibilities be?

  • Work as part of the Facilities Management Team, playing a key role in planning and completing a range of works with the main responsibility for the completion of planned, reactive and remedial repairs to include general mechanical works, fabric and grounds activities such as general building works, drainage, paving works, flooring, minor roof and guttering works and site set up.
  • Provide exceptional maintenance services to our high profile Clients and go the extra mile to deliver to the highest quality standards in all areas of your performance.
  • Use your own initiative to solve complicated technical problems associated with reactive maintenance activities, including sourcing parts & materials and seeking manufacturer technical support.
  • Carry out all works within agreed timescales and to the highest standards, ensuring compliance with current regulations and contract specifications.
  • Reporting and recording procedures, including operation and maintenance logs and control measures to minimise risks.
  • Utilise PDAs or electronic devices to complete works.
  • Liaise closely with our Helpdesk to ensure efficient response to all works either working on your own or as part of a team.
  • Observe the highest levels of health and safety at all times, including carrying out point of work risk assessments for every task to ensure the best possible working practices are adhered to.
  • Provide a call out response across all contracts.

What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?

  • NVQ or equivalent in building maintenance
  • Experience providing a high level of customer service
  • An understanding of maintenance tasks within Facilities management or construction
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to complete administrative tasks accurately and on time
  • CSCS card
  • IT Skills – in the use of PDA’s
  • Asbestos awareness training (UKATA)
