What will be my core responsibilities?
We are seeking a Roofing Assistants to cover, Birmingham, Cambridge, Central London and M25 areas providing a comprehensive roofing maintenance service on a range of different spaces, meeting client expectations for quality, cost and speed of service.
- Support the Roofing Technician with planned and reactive maintenance on a range of Roofing tasks as instructed by the Contract Support Team.
- Provide labouring and basic maintenance skills as directed.
- Give input when assessing damage and spotting leaks.
- Help create waterproof seals, and ensure patterns are evenly cut and structurally sound.
- Use of hand and power tools to accurately install materials like slates, tiles, and waterproof membranes.
- Assist with repairs on wood structures to include timbers and framing.
- Assist with updating the job log with notes and upload relevant documentation What can I expect?
- Company van and fuel card for business use.
- Plenty of overtime available, paid 1.5 x for evenings and 2 x for weekends after midday on a Saturday
- Mobile phone and tablet for business use.
- Uniform and PPE.
- Tools/Tool Allowance What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?
- Proven ability and experience working in general Labouring role.
- Some carpentry and joinery skills with good hand eye coordination is useful.
- High levels of stamina, strength, and flexibility are required for constant bending, kneeling, and lifting.
- Able to work successfully with team members, contractors, end client and internal stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and good problem solving skills.
- Comfortable working with different systems and maintaining accurate records.
