What will be my core responsibilities?
- Manage the operational delivery of passive fire protection works across contracts.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order and Building Safety legislation, working closely with your APs.
- Maintain compliance with third-party accreditation bodies such as BM TRADA, FIRAS, or equivalent schemes.
- Provide technical oversight and quality assurance for passive fire works including fire doors, fire stopping, and compartmentation.
- Engage directly with clients, estates teams, and consultants regarding passive fire compliance requirements and project delivery.
- Support commercial teams in identifying and securing new passive fire opportunities.
- Manage and monitor the financial performance including turnover, P&L, WIP and Debt.
- Present monthly performance and financial data to the Operations Director.
- Manage day-to-day delivery of passive fire works including inspections, remedials, and installations.
- Maintain certification records, installation documentation, and photographic evidence.
- Develop and implement passive fire processes, procedures, and standards.
- Assist in tender submissions and technical proposals relating to passive fire works.
- Provide technical guidance on fire door compliance, compartmentation, and fire stopping requirements.
- Work with clients to develop passive fire improvement plans and risk reduction strategies.
- Support audits and compliance inspections from clients or regulatory bodies.
What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?
- NVQ Level 3 or above in Passive Fire Protection / Fire Stopping / Fire Door Installation or equivalent industry qualification.
- FDIS (Fire Door Inspection Scheme) certification or equivalent fire door inspection qualification.
- Knowledge of BM TRADA, FIRAS, or equivalent third-party certification schemes.
- SMSTS or SSSTS qualification.
- Full UK driving license.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in passive fire protection, including fire stopping, compartmentation, and fire door works.
- Experience delivering passive fire compliance works across commercial or public sector.
- Experience supporting tender submissions and/or business development for passive fire works.
- Experience delivering works under framework or term contracts.
- Experience implementing or maintaining third-party accreditation schemes (BM TRADA / FIRAS).
