The post holder will work within the Pharmacy team, providing an efficient dispensary service for the customers of Galgate Pharmacy in accordance with its policies and procedures.
The post holder will hold a minimum of a Level 2 Pharmacy Qualification.
Main Duties of the Job
- Key Duties/Responsibilities
- The accurate dispensing of prescription medications and appliances to the customers of Galgate Pharmacy, following the required protocols and procedures as directed by a licensed Pharmacist.
- To collect all due prescription charges and ensure the FP10 patient declaration is completed and signed by the patient.
- To operate efficient stock management appropriate to the needs of the Pharmacy, with the objective of ensuring appropriate levels of merchandising and minimising wastage.
- To ensure that drugs are stored in an appropriate manner in accordance with the accompanying instructions.
- Managing sales of over the counter medications.
- Ensure confidentiality of commercial and clinical information, which may relate to customers, staff, company policies, business information and take account of requirements of the General Data Protection Regulations and Freedom of Information legislation.
- Adhere to all protocols i. e. Cold Chain Policy.
- To maintain full and accurate records of all dispensing transactions, ensuring all logs are maintained as required.
- To ensure the accurate banking of all monies at the end of each day and reconcile any discrepancies.
- To work as part of a team to deliver an excellent service to all Galgate Pharmacy patients.

Experience
- Previous experience that demonstrates good attention to detail.
- Previous experience of dispensing prescription medications adhering to pharmacy protocols and guidelines.
- Experience of working in a confidential environment.
- Previous experience of working in General Practice, NHS or Healthcare setting.
Qualifications
- Level 2 Pharmacy Qualification.
- English GCSE (or equivalent) Level C or equivalent.
- Full UK driving licence.
