Role Overview
The Governors are seeking to appoint 7 temporary Teaching Assistants level 1 (1 Year Fixed term) 32.5 hours. The position is required for September 2026. We are looking for a positive, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant either with experience of working in a Special School or eager to learn and develop their skills.
Responsibilities
The post holder will support teaching and learning across the school, providing general support to pupils and management of resources as directed by teachers and senior staff. These posts will involve working with either high school or primary pupils within any curriculum strand.
Qualifications
The successful applicant must be able to work effectively with the whole school community including pupils, parents, governors and staff. Candidates will be shortlisted against the person specification for the post. Good literacy and numeracy skills are required, with proof of GCSE qualification or equivalent in English and Maths essential. The post will be subject to satisfactory references, proof of right to work in the UK in accordance with the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996 and other pre‑employment checks where applicable.
