The Department of Management Science seeks to appoint a part‑time Teaching Fellow in Operations Management (OM) on a 0.6 FTE basis. The department runs a highly‑ranked MSc programme in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, and delivers several OM‑related undergraduate modules. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to these teaching activities within a research‑intensive Management School.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver part or all of several OM‑related modules at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
  • Set and mark assessment tasks.
  • Collaborate with other department members to periodically review programmes and modules and discuss possible improvements.

Qualifications

  • Hold an academic and/or professional qualification in OM or a related discipline (e.g., Project Management, Industrial Engineering or Operational Research).
  • Have some teaching experience in the Further Education and/or Higher Education sectors.

Employment Details

The role is offered for an initial term of 14 months, with the possibility of renewal. Appointment will be made at either grade 7 (currently £40K–£46K) or grade 8 (currently £47K–£58K), depending on qualifications and experience.
