The Department of Management Science seeks to appoint a full-time Senior Teaching Associate/Teaching Fellow in Business Analytics (BA). The department has run successful BSc and MSc programmes in BA for many years. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to these teaching activities within a research-intensive Management School.

In this role, you will deliver part or all of several BA-related modules, at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level, and be involved in the setting and marking of assessment tasks. You will also be allocated time to conduct scholarship activities.

You will already hold an MSc and/or PhD in BA or a related discipline (such as Operational Research, Management Science, or Industrial Engineering). You will also have some teaching experience in the Further Education and/or Higher Education sectors. You will be appointed at either grade 7 (currently £40K-£46K) or grade 8 (currently £47K-£58K), depending on qualifications and experience.

The appointment is initially for one year, but there is a chance that it will be extended.

Expertise in any of the following topics would be particularly welcome:

  • statistics
  • data mining
  • machine learning
  • stochastic modelling

  • simulation
