The UK Student Recruitment team, based within the University’s External Relations division, is responsible for attracting and encouraging applications to Lancaster University from across the UK for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
The team is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated graduate for the role of Student Recruitment Assistant. Working as part of our established and friendly UK student recruitment team, you will support activities promoting the University and higher education to prospective students across the UK.
You will attend school and college careers events, deliver talks and presentations, and represent the university at larger higher education exhibitions across the country, traveling individually and occasionally with colleagues or student ambassadors.
You will be confident communicating with a variety of audiences about the UK higher education system and the benefits of studying at Lancaster. The role will also involve administrative and project-based work supporting the day-to-day operation of the UK student recruitment team.
Please note, this role requires periods of travel around the UK attending events, working outside office hours, and occasional weekends.
The role is an exciting first step in a career in student recruitment and higher education. It is offered as a fixed-term role for 10 months initially, covering a secondment. The role holder is expected to work a minimum of 2 days a week from Lancaster campus, with flexible arrangements possibly considered. The schedule will be a blend of on-campus and home working.
