Overview
Lancaster University is looking for a dynamic and organised Student Advice Support Team Coordinator to co-lead the day-to-day operations of our ASK (Advice, Support and Knowledge) service – the central point of contact for student enquiries and key administrative support for the specialist Student Wellbeing Services teams. This role will work alongside fellow coordinators to ensure a consistent and joined up approach across the ASK Service functions. This is a key frontline role, ensuring high-quality support for students across multiple channels including face-to-face, phone, email and online chat. You will co-manage and develop a small team of dedicated staff and play a key role in the delivery of a seamless and efficient student support experience.
Responsibilities
- Supervising and line managing a team of ASK Service members
- Coordinating service delivery across in-person and digital platforms for Student Wellbeing Services, including in particular
- Leading service improvements including implementation of student centred and streamlined ways of working
- Liaising with fellow coordinators, academic departments and other student support services to ensure accurate, joined-up information provision
- Supporting the management of complex enquiries and ensuring consistent and timely delivery of ASK functions
- Delivering training and developing resources for staff
- Using data and feedback to inform continuous innovation and improvement
Qualifications
- A collaborative approach and commitment to excellent customer service
- Experience in a support or information service environment
- Confident communicator with experience of process improvement
- Comfortable using data to inform decisions and track performance
