Job Overview

A fantastic opportunity for a driven and customer‑focused Recruitment Service Assistant at Lancaster University’s new Employment and Recruitment Service. The service, launched in September 2014, manages in‑house temporary recruitment on behalf of the University and operates as a commercial temporary & permanent recruitment service within the local area to gain employment opportunities for Lancaster’s students and graduates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work at a student‑facing Recruitment Service Desk, providing confident communication across a range of media.
  • Analyse bulk data and proactively solve problems, building and maintaining long‑term relationships.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service, including financial processes such as timesheet administration, payroll queries, invoice management and budget reconciliation.

Requirements / Person Specification

  • Minimum 5 GCSEs grades A‑C, including Maths and English.
  • Excellent IT and administrative skills.
  • Proven track record of outstanding customer service and problem‑solving in an administrative role.
  • Service‑driven, results‑oriented with a keen eye for detail.
