The role works within the Procurement team, which manages the university's expenditure with external suppliers. You will support academic and research departments by undertaking order processing, including understanding customer needs, processing requisitions and expediting deliveries. You will also provide a high level of support to the travel and accounts payable team during busy periods.
You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, effective numeracy, literacy and word processing skills. Training in procurement and procurement advice based on the University's Financial Regulations and Procedures will be provided.
A team player able to work with colleagues and adapt to hybrid working (minimum 3 days a week in the office) is expected. We operate hybrid working and this role can be effectively delivered from home with a minimum of 3 days a week in the office. Requests for part‑time working will be considered.
