Please note: this job is only available to current employees of Lancaster University
An opportunity has arisen to join the Portfolio Marketing team within External Relations as a Marketing Officer, on a fixed-term contract for two years. Working closely with the Product Development Manager and Head of Portfolio Marketing, you will be responsible for producing marketing collateral and content to promote a range of products and to recruit students to study at Lancaster. You will have responsibility for promoting both existing and new products (to include degree programmes, foundation years, CPD courses and scholarships), with a particular focus on multi-disciplinary and cross-institutional initiatives, working in concert with each Faculty’s Marketing team.
A key focus during the contract will be to consolidate and enhance institutional efforts to successfully launch online study at postgraduate level, and you will manage a multi-channel campaign likely incorporating email marketing, paid digital advertising, videography and print. Equipped with a strong working knowledge of the full marketing mix, you will also demonstrate a proven ability to identify high ROI channels, with a flair for tailoring marketing messaging to match audience needs and to differentiate Lancaster from competitors.
You will be comfortable coordinating and prioritising a complex workload, reviewing supplied market insight to refine marketing messaging, and establishing close working relationships with academics and professional service staff to identify and articulate Lancaster’s unique value proposition. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of teams at the University, to deploy marketing at pace with agility and creativity, and to ultimately play a key role in the successful launch of new and priority programmes for Lancaster.
