Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) is a quadruple-accredited, world-ranked management school, ranked 10th in the 2026 Complete University Guide. At the heart of the student experience is our innovative LUMS Careers team, which has a significant impact on the career development and employability of our students. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join this team as Employability and Events Coordinator.

The overall function of this position is to take the lead on the planning, organisation, and delivery of a growing portfolio of extra-curricular and in-curriculum events, and employability initiatives, designed to enhance the graduate outcomes of both domestic and international students. This includes:

  • Careers fairs
  • Networking evenings
  • Presentations
  • Employer spotlight sessions
  • Skills workshops
  • Student visits to external events
  • Careers workshops
  • Employer interviews and panel activity

Support for placement year-related activities will be an important part of this role. You will support the development of mutually beneficial relationships with employers and alumni, work collaboratively with key internal stakeholders, and help ensure that all LUMS Careers events and employability initiatives align with student aspirations.

The ability to work collaboratively online and in person, and to support students on campus and online is critical to the success of this role. With excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to work effectively with students, you will be a crucial part of our award-winning team.
