Overview
Lancaster University School of Law seeks to appoint a Senior Lecturer or Lecturer (Grade 7/8) on the Teaching & Research track to contribute across the School’s core undergraduate LLB teaching. The role involves teaching core subjects, supervising students, and contributing to research and the University’s reputation.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach core undergraduate and postgraduate law courses, including Land Law, Equity and Trusts, Commercial Law, Criminal Law, Contract Law, or EU Law.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Take on administrative duties and/or leadership roles as requested by the School.
- Produce high‑quality research and publish results suitable for the next Research Excellence Framework.
Qualifications and Experience
- PhD or equivalent research qualification in a relevant legal field.
- Strong track record of research and publications.
- Experience in teaching core legal subjects and supervising students.
- Ability to engage students and contribute to the School’s teaching and research culture.
