Overview

Lancaster University School of Law seeks to appoint a Senior Lecturer or Lecturer (Grade 7/8) on the Teaching & Research track to contribute across the School’s core undergraduate LLB teaching. The role involves teaching core subjects, supervising students, and contributing to research and the University’s reputation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach core undergraduate and postgraduate law courses, including Land Law, Equity and Trusts, Commercial Law, Criminal Law, Contract Law, or EU Law.
  • Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students.
  • Take on administrative duties and/or leadership roles as requested by the School.
  • Produce high‑quality research and publish results suitable for the next Research Excellence Framework.

Qualifications and Experience

  • PhD or equivalent research qualification in a relevant legal field.
  • Strong track record of research and publications.
  • Experience in teaching core legal subjects and supervising students.
  • Ability to engage students and contribute to the School’s teaching and research culture.
