Overview
We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering to deliver high quality teaching on our undergraduate and postgraduate engineering degree programmes. You will contribute to the School of Engineering’s international reputation for teaching, and research in Mechanical Engineering, helping to create and shape a vibrant academic community within the field at Lancaster.

Responsibilities
- Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in Mechanical Engineering.
- Develop and maintain high quality teaching materials and assessment.
- Contribute to the School’s research activities and publish in peer‑reviewed journals.
- Engage with students and colleagues to foster a vibrant academic environment.
- Support the School’s inclusive and diverse community, promoting equal opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience
Required: a PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related field, with a strong research record and experience of teaching at university level.
Desirable: evidence of impact on curriculum design, experience of leading projects, or specialist knowledge in niche areas such as robotics or materials engineering.
