Are you passionate about student wellbeing, inclusion and student success, and looking for an opportunity to lead positive change at Lancaster University? This is an exciting opportunity to join our Student Wellbeing Partnership Service as a Senior Adviser within the Early Intervention Team. The service works in partnership with colleges, academic departments and specialist support teams to provide holistic, preventative and early intervention support that enables students to thrive throughout their university journey.

You will provide operational leadership for a team of Student Wellbeing Advisers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, inclusive support for students. Working closely with colleagues across Student Wellbeing Services and the Single Point of Entry, you will help ensure coordinated support arrangements, clear referral pathways and an integrated approach to student wellbeing and success.

The Early Intervention Team bridges the gap between universal support available to all students and targeted support for students with additional needs, including widening participation students, neurodivergent students, commuting students and other underrepresented communities. The team delivers support throughout the student lifecycle, from pre-entry transition through to progression and post-graduation outcomes.

Alongside leading the team, you will contribute to service development, quality assurance, monitoring and evaluation, helping to shape evidence-informed approaches that support wellbeing, belonging, continuation and student success. You will build effective partnerships across the University and contribute to institutional priorities relating to inclusion, access and participation.

We are looking for someone with experience of supporting students within complex environments, developing preventative approaches and leading teams to deliver high-quality services. You will bring excellent communication and relationship-building skills, sound professional judgement and a commitment to creating inclusive environments in which all students can flourish.
