Overview

As Head of the Vice‑Chancellor’s Office you will lead the strategic and operational activity of the Vice‑Chancellor’s Office, providing high‑level advice, coordination and support to the Vice‑Chancellor and Senior Leadership Team. Working across the university you will shape institutional priorities, drive strategic initiatives and ensure effective delivery of executive business.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic plans and policies for the university.
  • Coordinate executive support functions and lead key institutional projects.
  • Engage with governing bodies, external partners and funding organisations.
  • Advise the Vice‑Chancellor and senior leaders on complex issues.
  • Facilitate decision‑making and institutional performance across UK and international operations.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in senior strategic, policy, governance or executive support roles.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication and political awareness skills.
  • Strong judgement and ability to build credibility and influence with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in higher education, public policy, governance or complex organisational leadership preferred.
