Leading a team of 16 marketing, communications and digital content specialists, organised into three sub-teams: Campaigns, Web and Digital Content, and International Marketing, you will effectively impart our values, successes and the benefits of studying with Lancaster across the globe. You will have successful leadership and team management skills, demonstrated through goal setting and evaluation, and will be able to support and inspire your team to develop and excel.
Collaborating closely with colleagues from across the External Relations Division, Faculties and beyond, you will lead on the University’s content strategy and channel management ensuring that our educational offer and partnerships are articulated appropriately – maximising the core benefits narrative to raise awareness amongst target markets and their influencers, in order to elicit action for lead generation, progression, conversion and income generation.
This is a senior role within the Marketing Office and the post-holder will be expected to work with a high level of autonomy, recommending strategic direction for the University’s campaigns and prospect communications strategy. You will need a proven ability to use an evidence-led approach for decision-making and planning; demonstrating value for money and ensuring objectives are met and activity evaluated, along with the ability to amend priorities at pace within a demanding environment.
This position requires knowledge of advertising management, brand messaging, communications channels and multi-targeted digital campaign strategies for specific global regions, along with experience of working with a wide range of colleagues to develop existing markets and identify new and emerging opportunities.
This role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis where hybrid on-site and home working is currently offered, subject to line manager approval. The preference to fully work on campus can be accommodated if desired.
Please note that this post will require you to work during the clearing and confirmation period – usually mid-August around A level results day. Leave during this period will be restricted.
