The predicted salary is between 24685 - 24685 £ per year.

We have a vacancy for a Facilities Coordinator within the Security team who are part of the Facilities Division, Lancaster University. You will be based in the Library on Bailrigg Campus. The post is offered on an indefinite basis. You will work an average of 27 hours per week on a rotational basis. During term, the standard shift pattern is 12-hour shifts working 06:00–18:00 and 18:00–06:00 covering seven days a week. Out of term, these hours may vary dependent on the opening hours of the Library.

Facilities are responsible for all property services on behalf of the University, including cleaning, grounds maintenance, security, catering and general upkeep of the Estate.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the day‑to‑day operation of the library facilities, ensuring cleanliness, maintenance, security and general upkeep.
  • Provide support during library opening hours and assist visitors.

Qualifications

  • Hard working, reliable, willing to learn and committed to delivering excellent customer service.
  • Experience in a similar environment and security experience desirable.
  • Educated to GCSE level in Maths and English.
  • Committed to high standards, able to work on own initiative.
  • Flexible approach and attitude to solving day‑to‑day problems.
  • Willingness to undergo development training.
