Job Overview: The post will be 52 weeks per year working 36.5 hours per week. The successful applicant will predominantly work in the North Porters Hub but may be required to work in other areas of campus as necessary. The post will be on an alternating shift pattern, covering 07:30 – 22:00, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide front‑line security and portering services.
  • Assist visitors and staff in a multi‑cultural environment.
  • Handle day‑to‑day operational tasks with an initiative and flexible approach.
  • Participate in development training as required.

Qualifications:

  • Hard working, reliable, and willing to learn.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Experience of working in a similar role and in a multi‑cultural environment.
  • Educated to GCSE level in Maths and English.
  • Committed to high standards, able to work on your own initiative, and have a flexible approach to solving day‑to‑day problems.
  • Willingness to undergo development training.
