Information System Services (ISS) is looking for a Digital Learning Facilitator to join our Digital Learning Team. The team provides advice and guidance to staff on a range of digital technologies used in teaching and learning across the University.
This is a fixed term role until 31st July 2027.
About The Role
You will provide advice, guidance and encouragement to support the design and development of online modules, course content and learning activities. Working collaboratively with course creators, you will help design, test and evaluate engaging digital learning experiences for students.
You will also create and maintain online learning objects and resources, using feedback and usage data to evaluate their effectiveness. The role will involve working with digital learning tool providers and learning management systems to help ensure they continue to meet the needs of students and staff.
As part of the role, you will keep up to date with innovations in digital learning, sharing knowledge with colleagues across Professional Services and academic departments. You may also represent the Division and University at internal and external meetings.
The role is primarily based on the Lancaster University Bailrigg campus, with flexible hybrid working options to support a positive work-life balance. We would expect a minimum of 2 days a week in the office, working flexibly to adapt to the needs of the role.
For Internal University staff a secondment opportunity may be considered for this role.
What we are looking for
We are looking for someone with a degree or equivalent professional qualification in a related discipline, learning technologies, or equivalent experience in a similar support role. You will have experience of working in an educational support environment, with a strong focus on providing an excellent customer experience.
You will be confident producing clear guidance or information for different audiences, and able to communicate effectively with people at all levels of seniority and technical ability. You will bring logical, systematic and pragmatic problem-solving skills, alongside the ability to plan ahead, manage tasks, prioritise workloads and meet competing deadlines.
