Lancaster Medical School seeks to appoint Clinical Teaching Fellows (up to 2.5 FTE in total) to augment the undergraduate medical programme teaching team. The role offers a year‑long out‑of‑programme experience in medical education, ideally for those who have completed foundation training or are at core/early speciality level.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver teaching to medical students in collaboration with academic, clinical and professional service staff
  • Teach and assess across small, medium and large group settings, focusing on anatomy and clinical skills (other areas considered)
  • Engage in all teaching, assessment and scholarly activity within the medical school
  • Develop knowledge and skills in medical education during the post

Qualifications

  • Completed foundation training or at core/early speciality training level
  • Experience or interest in medical teaching and learning
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
