We are seeking to appoint a Head of Foundation Year Programmes on a 0.4 FTE basis. This is an exciting opportunity to help develop and maintain our foundation year portfolio, which we currently offer in partnership with Cardinal Newman College, Preston (domestic students), and the INTO International Study Centre (international students).
You will serve as the primary academic contact between the University and its partners. You will ensure that all students receive a high-quality academic experience that prepares them for entry to the relevant Lancaster degree programme, including by chairing the Academic Management Boards, which bring together key stakeholders from within the University and its partners. You will also work with departments to encourage them to develop transition plans to ease students into their degree-level study. Finally, you will act as an ambassador for the programmes, supporting recruitment activities and promoting them to an external audience.

0.4 FTE for three years in the first instance. Salary: responsibility allowance of £2,000 per annum; department will receive a salary adjustment for time spent on this role. The role is available on a secondment basis; 0.4 FTE of your time will be spent on these duties. The initial term is three years, with potential renewal based on performance.
