Role and responsibilities
- Undertake a rapid literature review on co-production and recruitment strategies involving heterosexual men
- Support design and delivery of a descriptive international mixed-methods survey
- Coordinate two UK-based workshops with community partners to explore barriers and solutions to co-production with this population
- Be a key member of the research team, working with colleagues from the Division of Health Research and Social Work at Lancaster University and community partners
Qualifications and experience
- PhD in social science, public health or a related discipline, or near completion; or Master’s degree with equivalent research experience
- Experience conducting literature reviews and supporting mixed-methods research
- Experience engaging with underrepresented or hard-to-reach groups
- Experience in organising community-based events; working knowledge of co-production or participatory methods; interest in men, masculinity, young people and health and social care (advantage)
- Willingness to travel within the Northwest
Working arrangements
- Flexible working arrangements, including working week and hours, flexible start/finish times or condensed hours
- Hybrid working arrangements can be discussed
- Part-time: two days per week (14.5 hours)
Contract and eligibility
- The position is available from October 2025; indefinite contract but role contingent on external funding until end of September 2026
