We are seeking an energetic and passionate Pastoral Assistant to join our outstanding boarding community from September 2026. This role will be to work over weekends during term time, primarily in our girls' boarding house; however, the successful candidate will be required to provide supervision to boarders across the whole boarding community when required, including providing medical assistance to boarders which may involve hospital trips.
The role will be 28 hours per week between 8am - 10pm Saturday and Sunday. There is also the expectation that the successful candidate will attend school inset days throughout the year. The salary for this role is based on Support staff grade 5, currently £25,989 - £28,142 FTE, (pay award pending). Actual salary (£13,427 - £14,928) is pro rata'd for hours worked on a weekend, term time only contract.
As the Boarding House Pastoral Assistant, you will manage the domestic arrangements for boarders within the house, with particular responsibility for assisting with the pastoral care of those in the house and contributing to the supervision and well-being of the boarders. Experience of working with children within an educational and/or school environment will be an advantage. Accommodation may be available for the successful candidate.
