We’re looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join a growing organisation, partnering with managers and business leaders to deliver commercially focused HR support across the full employee lifecycle.
Overview of Role
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) plays a key role in partnering with managers and business leaders to deliver effective, commercially focused HR support. Acting as a trusted advisor, the HRBP provides guidance across the full employee lifecycle, helping to drive engagement and performance.
Working closely with the Lead HRBP and wider HR team, the HRBP supports the delivery of HR initiatives while ensuring the smooth day-to-day management of employee relations, people processes and HR operations.
This role is instrumental in supporting business growth by building strong stakeholder relationships, promoting best practice and delivering practical, people-focused solutions.
Responsibilities
HR Partnership & Delivery
- Build strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders, providing credible HR advice.
- Deliver core HR processes across the employee lifecycle, ensuring consistency, fairness and a positive employee experience.
- Support HR operations meetings and ensure agreed actions are followed through.
- Analyse and interpret people data, using insights to inform decision-making.
- Coach and support managers on people management practices, enhancing capability across the business.
Employee Relations & Risk
- Act as the primary HR contact for an allocated business area, providing end-to-end support across all employee relations matters.
- Independently handle a wide range of ER matters and advise managers on solutions, ensuring a consistent, pragmatic and legally compliant approach.
- Identify risks and escalate these appropriately within the business.
- Ensure policies and practices remain compliant with current and upcoming legislation.
- Manage employee offboarding and feed exit interview insights into the business to inform retention and engagement strategies.
- Partner with HQ hiring managers to support recruitment activity and ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Partner with the Lead HRBP on HR initiatives, including performance reviews, compliance training and cultural developments.
- Support the adoption and optimisation of HR technology and AI to streamline processes and enhance delivery and impact.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and lead on implementation, ensuring effective communication and adoption.
Administration
- Support HR administration processes and documentation, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and high standards.
- Assist with the HR inbox and operational coordination of day-to-day HR queries.
- Undertake additional duties as required in line with the level and responsibility of the role.

Qualifications & Experience
- Level 7 CIPD qualified or equivalent (desirable)
- Proven experience as an HR Business Partner within a fast-paced organisation.
- Experience handling complex employee relations matters.
- Experience providing strategic advice to leadership.
- Sound knowledge of current and upcoming employment legislation, with the ability to shape policies and processes accordingly.
Package
£47,000 plus full benefits including 25 days’ holiday, pension, life assurance, cash plan and bonus scheme.
The organisation is on an exciting growth journey, so while this is initially a 12-month maternity cover FTC, there may be opportunities longer term as the business continues to grow.
