The AI Solution Architect designs enterprise-grade AI solutions that address complex business challenges. This role translates client requirements into scalable, secure architectures spanning data ingestion, model deployment, integration, and operational workflows.
Working closely with sales, engineering, and senior stakeholders, you will define solution roadmaps, select appropriate technologies, and ensure solutions are technically feasible, commercially viable, and aligned to enterprise standards. Success in this role requires proven experience architecting AI-driven solutions, strong knowledge of LLM and cloud AI ecosystems, and the ability to balance business objectives with robust technical design.
What You Will Do- Architect end-to-end enterprise AI solutions, covering data pipelines, model deployment, orchestration, integration, and operational workflows.
- Translate business objectives into technically viable AI architectures that are scalable, secure, and cost-effective.
- Partner with sales teams during pre-sales and proposal phases to shape solution strategies and accelerate solution plans.
- Evaluate client environments, including infrastructure, data dependencies, compliance requirements, and performance constraints.
- Select appropriate AI technologies, models, and cloud services to meet functional and non-functional requirements.
- Lead architectural design decisions for LLM/SLM deployments, including fine-tuning, inference optimisation, RAG frameworks, and API-based AI services.
- Define AI landing zones, governance frameworks, and security controls aligned to enterprise standards.
- Ensure solutions integrate seamlessly into existing IT ecosystems and meet performance, scalability, and cost targets.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams throughout implementation.
- Proven experience architecting enterprise AI solutions in complex environments.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with sales and engineering teams to shape commercially viable solution designs.
- Strong expertise in AI architecture including:
- Large and Small Language Models (LLMs/SLMs)
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Model fine-tuning and inference optimisation
- Model orchestration and API-driven AI deployment
- Experience working within a technology focused consulting business.
- Deep knowledge of hyperscaler AI platforms (e.g., AWS Bedrock, Azure AI, Google Vertex AI) and hybrid cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of AI security, governance, compliance, and FinOps principles.
- Solid grounding in data science and machine learning principles to critically evaluate model feasibility and performance.
- Ability to assess data dependencies, operational constraints, and measurable success criteria.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior technical and business leaders.
