Our client, a growing consultancy, is seeking a Business Analyst / Trainer to join its Learning & Development function. This hybrid role combines hands-on business analysis delivery with the design and delivery of high-quality training across core consulting pathways, including Business Analysis, Project Management, PMO, and Product. Alongside training responsibilities, the role will contribute to internal transformation and improvement initiatives, applying structured business analysis techniques to help shape solutions, improve processes, and support technology-enabled change. The organisation is moving towards a more technology and AI-enabled consulting model, and is seeking someone who can bring modern, commercially minded thinking to both delivery and capability development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Analysis (c.40%)
    • Elicit, analyse and document business requirements using a range of techniques (e.g. workshops, interviews, process mapping).
    • Analyse current (“as-is”) processes, data and operating models, and support the design of future (“to-be”) states.
    • Produce high-quality analysis artefacts such as business cases, requirements documentation, user stories, process flows and impact assessments.
    • Work with technical, product and delivery teams to translate business needs into clear, actionable outcomes.
    • Support change and transformation initiatives, considering people, process, data and technology impacts.
    • Apply a data-led and technology-aware mindset, with awareness of automation, AI and digital solutions where appropriate.
  • Training & Capability Development (c.60%)
    • Design and deliver engaging training content for both virtual and face-to-face audiences.
    • Deliver learning across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, business and digital bootcamps, leadership and management programmes, and skills and behaviours sessions.
    • Train and upskill consultants across Business Analysis, Project Management, PMO and Product pathways.
    • Embed real-world consulting and delivery examples into training, drawing on hands-on BA experience.
    • Provide one-to-one coaching and ad-hoc support to accelerate individual development.
    • Gather feedback, evaluate learning effectiveness and continuously improve content and delivery.
    • Coordinate training logistics and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure learning meets organisational needs.

  • Background in consulting, professional services or complex organisational environments
  • Experience collaborating across business and technical teams

Knowledge across several of the following areas would be beneficial:

  • Business Analysis techniques and frameworks
  • Project Management and/or PMO
  • Agile and/or PRINCE2 delivery environments
  • Data analysis and data visualisation (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
  • Information security and governance awareness
  • Coding or scripting (e.g. Python, SQL)
  • Product, Scrum or DevOps ways of working

An interest in technology-enabled transformation, data and AI is highly desirable.
