Are you passionate about helping students turn their talent in Hair and Beauty into a successful career? Lancaster & Morecambe College is seeking a motivated and organised individual to join our Hairdressing & Beauty Therapy team as a Work Placement Coordinator. Working closely with the Programme Area Manager and curriculum staff, you will play a vital role in developing students’ employability skills by sourcing, organising, and monitoring high-quality work placement opportunities within the Hair and Beauty sector.
Responsibilities
- Source, secure and manage work placements with salons, spas and related employers in the Hair and Beauty sector.
- Ensure all placements meet safeguarding, health & safety, and insurance requirements.
- Monitor student attendance, progress and conduct.
- Carry out placement visits and reviews, gather employer feedback.
- Support the delivery of employability workshops such as CV writing and interview skills.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and employer engagement.
- Collaborate with curriculum teams and support College marketing initiatives.
