Are you looking for a flexible teaching role where you can inspire learners in Science? Lancaster and Morecambe College are seeking an Hourly Paid Lecturer in Science to deliver engaging and high-quality teaching across our Animal Studies, Science & Access provision. You will plan and deliver lessons, assess and record student work, manage class documentation, and contribute to curriculum development within an agreed framework. You may also support educational visits or take responsibility for specific areas of the programme.
We are looking for someone with relevant teaching experience in science – particularly Chemistry - alongside strong subject knowledge and effective classroom practice. A minimum Level 4 qualification in a related subject and a recognised teaching qualification are essential. You should be confident using varied teaching approaches, able to work collaboratively within curriculum teams, and committed to supporting learners with diverse needs. Good communication, IT skills and a professional approach are important to this role.
