Harcum House Child Advocacy Center is seeking a full‑time Child & Family Therapist to provide specialized mental health services to children and adolescents impacted by abuse and their non‑offending caregivers. The therapist will maintain an active caseload and provide evidence‑based, trauma‑focused treatment to children and adolescents, with meaningful caregiver involvement, using treatment models recognized by the National Children’s Alliance.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain an active caseload consistent with program capacity and service expectations.
- Complete trauma screening and clinical assessments to identify treatment needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and periodically reassess client needs and progress.
- Provide evidence‑based, trauma‑focused therapy to children and adolescents, with caregiver participation as appropriate.
- Provide caregiver education, support, and involvement throughout treatment when clinically appropriate.
- Monitor treatment progress, attendance, participation, and barriers to engagement.
- Coordinate services with Harcum House advocates, staff, multidisciplinary team partners, and other involved providers.
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation, attendance records, case‑tracking information, and required outcome measures.
- Support grant‑funded service goals, data collection, quality‑assurance activities, and reporting requirements.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case review and provide clinical consultation regarding trauma responses and treatment needs when appropriate.
- Participate in ongoing clinical supervision, consultation, training, and professional development.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with applicable ethical, licensing, agency, and Child Advocacy Center accreditation standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychology, or a related mental health field.
- Active Ohio professional license.
- Ability to pass required criminal background checks.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Independent Ohio licensure.
- Experience providing mental health treatment to children, adolescents, and families impacted by trauma.
- Training or experience in an evidence‑based child trauma treatment model.
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary team or Child Advocacy Center setting.
Compensation And Benefits
- Salary: $58,000 to $60,000 annually, based on licensure and experience.
