Refuse Collector x2

We are seeking to recruit a Refuse Collector for our Waste and Recycling Team. We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic, and self-motivated individual to assist in waste collection within a high-profile service.

The work is varied and interesting, and it is essential that you appreciate the important contribution these services have in improving our environment and local area. Good communication skills, the ability to undertake various duties, and quick learning with minimal supervision are required. You will work both as part of a team and independently, often in adverse weather conditions, handling waste.

Although not essential, holding a current driving licence is an advantage. Full training will be provided. You must be physically fit to perform manual tasks, including refuse and recycling collection, and willing to operate various vehicles and equipment.

This is a permanent position, 37 hours per week, based at White Lund Depot, Morecambe. Shifts are from 7:00 am to 4:45 pm, Monday to Saturday, including Bank Holidays. Flexibility is required for early mornings, evenings, and weekends, with possible early start at 6:00 am or late finish until 6:00 pm.

The successful candidate must work on Bank Holidays (except Christmas and New Year), public holidays, and catch-up days as directed. Catch-up days for December holidays may be on the Saturday before or after the holiday.
