Williamson Park attracts over 500,000 visitors a year and is one of the North West’s premier tourist attractions as recognised by Visit England. Within the 54 acres of listed park and gardens are iconic buildings such as The Ashton Memorial, attractions and breath-taking views that attract visitors from across the UK.
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic manager to lead the parks management team in taking the park to the next level. The role requires a confident leader, who possesses expertise in people management, passion for the environment and heritage, and enthusiasm for delivering the best possible service to our residents and visitors.
Williamson Park offers a friendly, dynamic and passionate multi-functional team which is focussed on delivery and problem solving to ensure we offer the best visitor experience. Leading the parks management team, you will be expected to lead on developing the site to its full potential, driving our vision and delivering outcomes on environment, communities and economy. The post holder will need to offer business acumen and an entrepreneurial mindset to assist in income generation throughout all areas of the business.
The successful candidate will need to be calm under pressure and be easily adaptable to changing environment while focussing on deadlines. Weekend working will be expected of the post holder, when necessary.
This post is permanent. The hours of work for this position are 37 per week, to include evenings, weekends and bank holidays in line with business need. This post is based at Williamson Park.
