Join us as a Senior Environmental Protection Officer and play a vital role in improving health, wellbeing, and environmental quality across Lancaster. You will ensure compliance with statutory duties, support the council's Climate Emergency response, and promote community safety, safeguarding children through responsible and effective service delivery.
What You'll Be Doing
- You will manage a personal caseload of environmental protection cases, including investigations, inspections, and enforcement actions.
- Your work will involve advising on air quality, pollution control, and private water supplies, leading projects, preparing technical reports, and engaging with community groups and partner agencies to enhance public reassurance.
- You will also supervise Environmental Protection Officers and contribute to delivering high standards of customer service and regulatory compliance.
