Join us as Gardener / Hard Landscaper and play a vital role in keeping Lancaster’s open spaces clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone. As a key part of our grounds maintenance team, you’ll help maintain parks, streets, and community areas to the highest standards, supporting the council’s commitment to a vibrant and attractive district.
What You’ll Be Doing
- You’ll support in leading a dedicated team in delivering essential horticultural and grounds maintenance tasks, including grass cutting, litter and graffiti removal, landscaping, and playground installation.
- Operating fleet vehicles and using a variety of power tools, you'll maintain parks, streets, beaches, and playgrounds to the highest standard and ensure public spaces remain safe and inviting.
- Your role also involves supervising agency staff, assisting with event setups, and working closely with community volunteers, ensuring health and safety standards are met.

- You hold a Level 2 qualification or equivalent experience in horticulture and have a full driving licence with trailer entitlement.
