This post offers an exciting opportunity to enter the leisure industry. Salt Ayre Leisure Centre has the latest in fitness and training equipment, an indoor adventure play area, indoor and outdoor climbing facilities, an immersive spinning studio and a dedicated training zone.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the smooth running of the state‑of‑the‑art Leisure Centre as part of a team.
  • Deliver an excellent customer experience for all customers.
  • Supervise the swimming pool and flume, set up and clean equipment for a wide range of sporting activities.
  • Serve as the face of the Leisure Centre and assist in organising school holiday events and children’s birthday parties.
  • Work in other areas of the leisure centre after appropriate training.
  • Participate and work towards reducing carbon emissions as part of the Council’s climate‑emergency goals.

Qualifications:

  • Valid NPLQ National Pool Lifeguard Qualification that has not expired.
  • Excellent swimming ability; required to complete a swimming ability test during the interview.
  • Enhanced clearance with the Disclosure and Barring Service.
