Lancaster City Council is a high-performing, progressive and inclusive place to work and we are seeking a Projects and Performance Manager to lead a dedicated team to drive strategic projects that shape the future of Lancaster. Reporting into the Chief Officer - People and Policy and working closely with the rest of Senior Leadership Team, Elected Members and colleagues across the Council, this is a high-profile role and your leadership will ensure council-wide operations run smoothly, supporting delivery of our recently updated Council Plan.

What You'll Be Doing

  • You will manage and inspire the Projects and Performance team, aligning project delivery with council goals.
  • Your role includes overseeing project plans, resource management, governance and risk.
  • You'll be supported to lead business process improvements, provide expert advice and training, and maintain performance dashboards.
  • Engaging with stakeholders and reporting progress to senior leaders and Committees will be central to your work, ensuring transparency and success across all projects.
