We’re looking for an enthusiastic Lecturer in Catering to bring industry expertise, creativity and modern food trends into the classroom and professional kitchen environment. As a Lecturer in Catering, you will deliver engaging and inspiring teaching from Level 1 to Level 3, including apprenticeships, combining hands-on culinary expertise with innovative teaching approaches to help students develop the professional skills needed for the hospitality industry. You will plan and deliver exciting practical and theory lessons, support learners through tutorials, mentoring and work placements, develop modern learning materials aligned to current industry trends, assess student progress, and contribute to recruitment, enrolment and curriculum development.
We are looking for someone with:
- Industry experience in catering or hospitality
- Strong kitchen management and organisational skills
- Knowledge of modern gastronomy and food trends
- A Level 3 qualification or above in a relevant catering discipline
- A teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Experience in patisserie and confectionery, apprenticeship standards and employer engagement would be highly desirable.
