Do you want to make a real difference in adult learners’ lives while supporting them to succeed and thrive? We’re looking for a passionate and committed Adult/Apprentice Additional Learning Support Assistant to join our team and help learners overcome barriers, build confidence, and achieve their goals.
As an Additional Learning Support Assistant, you will provide high-quality, tailored support to adult learners and apprentices across college and community settings, working closely with teaching staff to create an inclusive and supportive environment where every learner can succeed. You will deliver 1:1, small group and in-class support, adapt learning resources and ensure appropriate adjustments are in place, support the development of Maths, English, digital, vocational and employability skills, encourage confidence, independence and engagement, monitor progress and maintain accurate records, support the use of assistive technology, and build positive relationships that improve attendance, retention and achievement.
We are looking for someone with experience supporting learners with additional needs or barriers to learning, who is an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, organised, adaptable and solution-focused, passionate about inclusive education and equality of opportunity, and confident supporting learners both independently and in groups.
