About the role
Working with the Performance Sports Manager and key sports staff, the Women's Rugby Union Sports Coach will provide leadership to drive the development of a high-performance sport culture at the University. The successful candidate will be expected to take training, select the squad and oversee match day preparation and performance across the course of the season. Goals will be set in conjunction with the Performance Sport Manager. This role will require 4 hours per week; evening working and the ability to travel to fixtures with the team will be expected. Training is currently Monday evening, with fixtures on a Wednesday afternoon; but this may be subject to change.
About you
This is an exciting opportunity to join the university and have an impact on our ambitious sports strategy. It is essential that the individual is appropriately qualified with a minimum of an up-to-date Level 2 coaching award as well as having experience of coaching in a performance sport environment. The ability to influence and inspire others, set and maintain high standards and having excellent communication skills are core requirements of the post.
