About the role

Working with the Performance Sports Manager and key sports staff, the Badminton Sports Coach will provide leadership to drive the development of a high‑performance sport culture at the University.

The successful candidate will be expected to take training, select the squad and oversee match day preparation and performance across the course of the season. Goals will be set in conjunction with the Performance Sport Manager.

This role requires 4 hours per week, mainly in the evenings, and the ability to travel to fixtures with the team. Training is currently Monday evening, with fixtures on Wednesday afternoon; times may change.

About you

We are looking for a candidate who is appropriately qualified with a minimum up‑to‑date Level 2 coaching award and experience of coaching in a performance sport environment. The ability to influence and inspire others, set and maintain high standards and excellent communication skills are core requirements of the post.
