About the role: The School of Medicine and Dentistry is a key part of the University’s academic portfolio, with a strong focus on attracting high‑calibre international students to its programmes, particularly the MBBS degree. Working within External Relations, the International Recruitment Manager will lead the planning and delivery of international recruitment and conversion activities, helping to achieve student recruitment targets, strengthen the School’s global profile, and develop strategic partnerships with agents, schools, sponsors and government organisations worldwide. The post holder will work closely with academic and professional services colleagues to support the School’s international growth ambitions.

About you: You will have recent experience in an international recruitment environment, with a proven track record of successful international recruitment and/or business development in overseas markets and achieving targets. Holding an undergraduate degree or equivalent, you will possess excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to a wide range of audiences, including senior stakeholders. You will have strong relationship management skills in an international context and be adept at building effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, working cross‑collaboratively with colleagues across the University to support recruitment objectives and contribute to team goals. You will be highly organised, able to work independently and as part of a team, and capable of implementing new developments and procedures in response to market demand. You will also demonstrate cultural awareness and sensitivity, flexibility in your approach to work, and a willingness to travel extensively overseas.
