The School of Veterinary Medicine is seeking an experienced Educational Technologist to join our Digital Education Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in shaping how technology supports teaching, learning and assessment across one of the UK's newest and most innovative veterinary schools.
Our School of Veterinary Medicine is the first of its kind in Lancashire and one of only two in the North of England. As such, this is a unique opportunity to work in state-of-the-art facilities, including an immersive suite, consulting rooms, clinical skills and anatomy suites, in a purpose-built school that opened in 2025.
We are delivering a modern, innovative veterinary programme, focused on producing clinically competent, compassionate, and pragmatic graduates. This role will involve working in and around clinical and teaching environments, so you will need to be comfortable around animals and have a genuine interest in veterinary medicine and animal health.
You will serve as the School's specialist lead for PebblePad, driving the development and implementation of our e-portfolio and clinical skills log, supporting students, academic staff and clinical tutors across a range of workplace-based assessment including DOPS, Mini-CEX, EPAs and CBDs. Alongside this, you will provide expert guidance on a broader range of educational technologies, advocating innovative and evidence-informed approaches to teaching and learning including team-based learning, portfolio and programmatic assessment.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a range of projects and initiatives, supporting colleagues, and helping to develop the digital education provision of a growing and ambitious school.
You are an experienced learning technology professional with an undergraduate degree or equivalent experiential learning, thorough knowledge of PebblePad and a genuine passion for using technology to enhance the student experience.
You will be confident providing expert advice and hands-on support to a wide range of stakeholders, from academic and clinical staff to students on placement, and will bring the interpersonal skills and adaptability needed to thrive in a busy, collaborative environment.
